Chapter 2: Stalking Is Creepy, Not Cute
Life in the Shinsengumi headquarters was never boring; the members were often rowdy and noisy, and it was common for Mitsuba to be woken up early in the morning because of a squabble just outside her door. But even though she did enjoy the company of her caretakers, it often got somewhat irritating, and there were times that she wished for some peace and quiet.
Which was why, when it was announced that she would be moving in with the Yorozuya Gin, she began to dread the prospect of living. For ten thousand years, the Otherworldly Gate was hidden by the Gatekeepers, who wished to prevent outside strife from reaching this pristine planet. Unfortunately, this peace was not to last forever, and only one of the Gatekeepers still lives... working day and night to prevent the utter domination of Azoria.
Races of Azoria
-Humans are the most prolific and common of the sentient races. Though their lifespans are short and their physical and magical abilities are average at best, their sheer tenacity and engineering ability have allowed them to become the dominant race in Azoria.
-Elves are sentients that synchronize with nature. Though there are some that enjoy an urban life, most prefer to make their homes among the trees; their physical abilities are inferi
